GRI Certification
By completing all of the classes of the REALTOR® Institute,
a student is awarded the nationally recognized Graduate REALTOR® Institute
(GRI) designation. With over 96 classroom hours of real estate instruction
with emphasis on topics such as legal liabilities, tax planning, construction
and new home sales, and specialized areas such as appraisal, financing real
estate investments, and property management, the designation is awarded
exclusively to REALTORS®. On a national level, only 11% of the REALTORS®
hold this prestigious designation.
The REALTOR® Institute is co-sponsored by the North
Carolina Real Estate Educational Foundation and the North Carolina Association
of REALTORS® and has been offered several times annually since 1948.
It was the first of it's kind in the United States and has served as a model
for numerous other states.
CRS
Certification
The Certified Residential Specialist, or CRS designation,
is awarded to residential real estate associates who have by special training
and education and by actual sales achievement, met the highest standards
of performance within the real estate industry. GRI designation is a prerequisite
requirement for CRS. Those having the coveted CRS designation are in a position
to provide those seeking to buy or sell residential real estate with the
assurance of the most professional real estate services. Less than 3% of
REALTORS® nationwide hold this designation.
ABR
Certification
The Accredited Buyers Representative, or ABR designation,
the benchmark of excellence in buyer agency service, demonstrates to clients
that the agent has taken steps to continue their education in the field
of buyer representation and has the proven experience and training to deliver
ethical and professional service to real estate buyers. More than 10,000
real estate professionals in North America have earned the ABR designation.
CRP
Certification
The purpose of the Certified Relocation Professional certification
is to encourage members working in specific aspects of employee relocation
to gain extensive and useful knowledge of all realms of employee relocation.
A major purpose of this program is the achievement of a common and universal
understanding of the entire employee relocation field and to recognize those
professionals who demonstrate mastery.In order to receive the CRP designation,
an individual must meet certain eligibility requirements and pass a comprehensive
exam on all aspects of the employee relocation field. To maintain the designation,
an individual must earn 30 relocation related continuing education credits
every three years. The areas that are tested are: Relocation Appraising,
Residential Real Estate, Corporate Relocation Policies & Issues, Relocation
Tax and Legal Issues, and Family Relocation Issues.
e-PRO
Certification
An e-PRO is a REALTOR® who has successfully completed
the e-PRO training program for real estate professionals. Endorsed by the
National Association of REALTORS®, the e-PRO course teaches professionals
the nuts and bolts of working with real estate on-line: Web sites, e-mail,
on-line tools, and most of all, what today's consumer really wants.
ABRM
Certification
ABRM – Accredited Buyer Representative Manager is
geared to real estate firm brokers, owners and managers that have or wish
to incorporate buyer representation into their daily practice, designees
have taken and passed both the ABR® and ABRM course and provided documentation
of past management experience.The ABRM designation is awarded real estate
practitioners who complete a comprehensive two-day REBAC ABR® course
in buyer representation and passing or challenging the written examination,
complete the comprehensive one-day REBAC ABRM course in buyer representation,
successfully passing the written examination, certification that the broker/owner/manager
has overseen a minimum of 25 real estate transactions that involved a buyer
agent or had more than 2 years of experience in the oversight of buyer representatives
and be a member in good standing with the National Association of REALTORS®
and the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council
